Junior Offshore – Summer 2023

Summer 2023 saw our boats used by Courageous Sailing in Boston, MA, Community Boating Center in New Bedford, MA and the Herreschoff Museum in Bristol, RI. These community programs attracted teenage sailors who participated in training programs that culminated in true offshore races, including the Round the Island Race, the Vineyard Race, and the Ida Lewis. They have gained skills in navigation, safety, watch-standing, sail handling, sailing at night, sleep management – and added many offshore miles to their sailing resumes. We can’t wait to see where their sailing careers go next.
